Jackie Aina's Must Haves, From a $17 Curl Glaze to a $42 Matcha Candle
In a sea of beauty influencers, Jackie Aina stands out as truly one of a kind. Whether you're obsessed with all things makeup or not, you've probably come across her content at least once (unless, of course, you've been living under a rock). The California-born creator is widely known for her New York Fashion Week vlogs, makeup tutorials, and GRWMs layered with candid commentary. While Aina's skillset is undoubtedly one of the best in her field, her platform's success is set on this value: the power of speaking your mind unapologetically. From pushing for shade inclusivity in beauty to diving into the "hard" conversations, authenticity has always been at the core of her brand.
That fearless approach has opened major doors, from collaborations with cosmetic giants like Anastasia Beverly Hills to starting a fragrance brand, Forvr Mood, with her husband, Denis Asamoah. The couple launched the brand in 2020, born out of Aina's deep love of scent — well documented in her YouTube videos — and her personal experience with hyperhidrosis growing up. "What initially started as a way to mask the fact that I sweat abnormally turned into a confidence booster and a connection to how beautiful scent can make me feel," she says.
Her most recent move? A partnership with Mielle Organics, which Aina calls "an easy yes." She fronted the brand's Kalahari Melon and Aloe Vera collection that includes a shampoo, conditioner, gel, and oil; all delivering up to five days of hydration for textured hair. The 37-year-old has long been passionate about amplifying brands that prioritize the Black community, so the collab felt like a natural fit. "Mielle doesn't just make products for textured hair — they honor it. As a brand, they've always put Black women first, not as an afterthought. . . the natural ingredients, the intention, the education; it's all there," she says. "I'm also a long-time user of the products."
Outside of championing diversity in beauty and keep "creating content that the gworls love," Aina is wholeheartedly committed to fragrance for both body and home, which can be seen in her list of must-have products. Keep scrolling to find out Aina's favorite beauty items, including her signature scent and the Mielle gel behind her juicy wash-and-gos.

Jackie Aina's Affordable Must Have
When she's sporting her natural hair, you can expect to see Aina's curls in their most-defined form. She has the Mielle Kalahari Melon & Aloe Vera Deep Hydration Curl Forming Glaze ($17) to thank for it. "It has my day eight wash-and-go hair feeling like day two," she says.

Jackie Aina's Investment Must Have
As a fragrance lover, it's no surprise that one of Aina's favorite products is Forvr Mood I Am Her Eau de Parfum ($79). "Every single person should have at least one signature scent — I wanted to make fragrance and the language around it more accessible so that the average consumer can be armed with the knowledge to choose their signature themselves, and I'm so proud we're creating a fragrance community that does that," she says. This perfume features notes of red velvet, pear, and oud, making it the perfect scent for a night out.

Jackie Aina's Makeup Must Have
A lip product is a must have for the content creator, whether she's doing full glam or everyday makeup. Aina's current go-to is Maed Revive Day + Night Lip Balm ($32). Made with restorative ingredients (the brand's bioactive complex, cherry seed coffee seed oil, squalane, and raspberry stem cells), it addresses concerns such as hyperpigmentation and sun damage. "I absolutely cannot have dry lips, and all lip balms are not made the same, but this one actually keeps my lips hydrated for hours."

Jackie Aina's Skin-Care Must Have
As a Black woman, Aina pays special attention to SPF in her daily routine, and Black Girl Sunscreen's Make It Hybrid Mineral Combo Sunscreen ($17) is her top recommendation. She keeps it in steady rotation not only because it doesn't leave a white cast but because it also features ingredients like aloe, lavender, and shea butter that help moisturize and protect the skin.

Jackie Aina's Self-Care Must Have
Having a signature home fragrance is just as important as having a personal one for the creator, and the Forvr Mood Matcha Bes-teas Candle ($42) is among her favorites. "When someone enters your home, they're assessing everything, and scent is one of those things that can make the experience memorable or lousy. The Matcha Bes-teas candle has notes of matcha and lemongrass, and it literally smells like meditation in a candle," she says.
